​Maid stabbed and left to die as robber burns house in Pasar Minggu

Aryani, a 20-year-old maid at a house in Jalan Siaga, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, was stabbed several times by a robber who broke into the house this morning.
 
The robber tied her up and set fire to the house before fleeing the scene.
 
Upon seeing smoke coming out of the house, locals barged in to rescue Aryani and her 11-year-old daughter who was sleeping at the time.
 
“At the time, the owners of the house were out,” said Tatang, a witness, as quoted by Detik today.
 
Locals rushed Aryani to a nearby hospital, where she is currently being treated for multiple stab wounds and burns.
 
The house was eventually completely destroyed by fire. The identity of the robber remains unknown.
