Leaked video ad from Samsung Indonesia shows new Galaxy S7 a week ahead of official launch

Smartphone geeks are undoubtedly worked up about the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona on February 21st, particularly Samsung Galaxy fans as the South Korean company plans to unveil their latest flagship Galaxy smartphone, the S7.

But the Indonesian arm of Samsung has already ruined the S7 surprise by leaking the video above. The video is supposed to be an unlisted Youtube ad, meaning that it was intended to only be viewed by a select few who had the link before going public. Yet somehow, the link got leaked and, surprisingly, hasn’t been taken down yet (meaning it could all be an elaborate marketing ploy).

The video features Indonesian pro archer Dellie Threesyadinda taking the S7 Edge with her as she undergoes a rigorous training regimen that includes running in a heavy downpour. So yes, the S7 will be waterproof.

From the video, you can also see that the S7 will feature wireless charging and that it looks almost identical to its predecessor, the S6.

Sadly, that probably means this upcoming premium phone is going to be just as crazy expensive as the S6 and its variants.
