KRL Commuterline Jakarta Kota-Tanjung Priok line resumes (limited) service today

After 7 years, PT KAI Commuter Jabodetabek (KCJ) finally reopened the Jakarta Kota-Tanjung Priok railway line today.

That said, there will be a very limited number of KRL Commuterline trains going between the two stations for the time being.

It’s still better than nothing, we suppose.

“Every day there will be 6 KRL Commuterline trips between Jakarta Kota-Tanjung Priok. On that line, trains will stop at 3 stations: Jakarta Kota, Kampung Bandan, and Tanjung Priok,” said PT KCJ Communications Manager Eva Chairunisa, as quoted by Okezone yesterday.

Unfortunately, the trains won’t stop at Ancol Station for the time being. Eva said that repairs are still ongoing at the station.

Ancol Station is situated between Kampung Bandan and Tanjung Priok.

National railway operators PT KAI previously spent several months repairing the Jakarta Kota-Tanjung Priok railway after it had been decommissioned for 7 years.

The trip from Jakarta Kota to Tanjung Priok and vice versa is estimated to take 20 minutes.

Below is the complete schedule of KRL Commuterline trips on the Jakarta Kota-Tanjung Priok line:

From Jakarta Kota:
1. KA 2318, departs 11.40 WIB
2. KA 2322, departs 13.05 WIB
3. KA 2326, departs 14.25 WIB

From Tanjung Priok:
4. KA 2319, departs 12.30 WIB
5. KA 2323, departs 13.55 WIB
6. KA 2331, departs 16.30 WIB
