This, unfortunately, is what you mostly get when you cross Japan with Indonesia.
Japan has been good to Indonesian tourists in that they’ve waived visa requirements for us to enter the land of the rising sun (for e-Passports only).
Now, Indonesian Vice President Jusuf “JK” Kalla wants to repay the favor.
“We’ll immediately waive their visa requirements, because Indonesians going to Japan don’t require a visa. We’re in the process of waiving the visa (for the Japanese). So we promise they too won’t need a visa [to enter Indonesia] in June,” JK said after receiving members of the Japanese Parliament at the Vice President’s Office in Central Jakarta, as quoted by Metro TV today.
JK also added that Indonesia and Japan are looking to strengthen economic ties between the two countries. JK hopes that Japan can continue to invest in Indonesia to further enhance Indonesia’s industrial growth.
