Jobstreet launches Jofom, a job search app aimed at Indonesian high school graduates

As an inexperienced high school graduate, searching for jobs can get quite tedious, especially when you fall well short of employers’ requirements.

But now, inexperienced job seekers can turn to Jofom, an app specifically designed to cater to high school graduates.

The app, which is available for download on the Google Play Store for Android devices, was created by Jobstreet, the biggest online employment company in Southeast Asia.

Jofom has been downloaded 10,000 times and already boasts 4,000 job ads. But Jobstreet is hoping for bigger things from this specialized job search app.

“We’re targeting 2 million high school graduates to download this app. Why? Because the number of unemployed high school graduates is around 2 million people. And then there are those who are already working and are seeking new jobs,” said Jobstreet Country Manager Faridah Lim at the Jofom launch event this afternoon, as quoted by Warta Kota

If this app becomes that popular, then we can hope to see a significant decrease in the country’s unemployment rate.
