A soon-to-be married couple never even got to say, “’til death do us part” (or the Indonesian equivalent) as the bride-to-be was murdered by none other than her fiancée.
AS (20), strangled his fiancée RH (18) at her house in Kapuk Muara, Cengkareng, West Jakarta until she died on Sunday evening.
“The suspect went inside from the back door of the house. At the time, the victim was watching TV. He strangled her from behind with a rope,” said Sutardjono, head of the Cengkareng Police, as quoted by Vivanews today.
“The suspect was jealous because of [something the victim did], as they were already engaged. This is considered a sadistic and planned murder.”
Ironically, before AS committed the murder, he prayed the Maghrib (dusk) Muslim prayer at a mosque close to RH’s house.
AS is currently imprisoned at the Cengkareng Police holding cells.
