Our city may be unsafe, have horrible traffic, and suffer terrible floods on an annual basis but, somehow, Jakartans manage to still have a sense of humor about it.
(Actually, we have to have a sense of humor about it or else we’d go completely crazy…)
In true Jakarta style, our fellow citiziens have responded to today’s unprecedented (well, for 2015) flooding by turning #JakartaBanjir into both a trending topic on Twitter and a meme complete with amusing Photoshops (we guess more than a few graphic designers decided not to go into work today so they could make these instead).
