The chilling alleged murder of a five-year-old boy in the hands of a 15-year-old girl took an even more disturbing turn after officials announced that the suspect herself had been sexually abused and is currently with child.
In early March, the suspect, identified by her initials NF, allegedly drowned the victim, APA, in a bathtub and hid his body in her closet. NF and APA were neighbors and were known to be close.
NF then turned herself in to the police, confessed to the murder and had shown no remorse. Instead, she told the police that she felt satisfied.

Today, the Social Affairs Ministry announced the results of NF’s psychiatric evaluation, with the main conclusion that the girl is mentally scarred.
“It was revealed that NF was the victim of sexual abuse in the hands of three people closest to her, resulting in her pregnancy, which is in its 14th week,” Social Security and Protection Director General Harry Hikmat said in a press release.
Harry did not go into further detail as to who sexually abused NF. He said the ministry is urging the police to investigate the sexual abuse against her.
It’s not immediately clear how this latest development may affect NF’s homicide investigation.
NF’s case shocked the nation, but, shortly after her arrest, child protection groups urged the public not to condemn her before she had the chance to go through a thorough mental examination.
