Police in the city of Jambi have arrested a woman who allegedly molested at least 11 boys aged eight to 15.

The suspect, 25-year-old YS, allegedly lured her victims using her PlayStation rental business, which she ran at home.

“She would flirt with them. One way was by giving the boys longer playing time [in return for sexual favors]. Most of it happened in the afternoon — when the boys were playing the games, he would call them one by one to her room,” Jambi Police Crime Investigation Unit Director Andri Ananta Yudhistira said.

The Women and Child Protection Agency of Jambi says it is accompanying 11 boys for psychological counseling. However, the Jambi Police says YS’ victim count may be as high as 17.

The families of the 11 boys reported YS to the police on Friday, leading to her arrest on Saturday.

The agency said that some of the boys are too traumatized to even leave their homes.

YS is a married woman who has a 10-month-old child. Police said, based on her husband’s testimony obtained on Thursday, that she would threaten to harm herself and even “slice up” their baby if her husband turned down her request for sexual intercourse.

One count of child molestation is punishable by up to 15 years’ imprisonment in Indonesia.
