Naming your baby Moana doesn’t necessarily mean the sea is calling out to her, and Indonesian influencer Ria Ricis seems to have come to that realization after endangering her 5-month-old daughter.

Because some influencers aren’t above utilizing their children in their content, Ria and her husband Teuku Ryan have been including Moana in their vlogs practically since her birth in late July 2022.

After the turn of the year, Ria posted a series of videos documenting her family’s outdoor adventures, including one on Instagram showing the trio on a jet ski.

While the parents each wore a life vest, their infant child did not. Mirroring many Indonesian parents and their children on motorbikes, Teuku was holding Moana with one hand while steering the watercraft using his other hand.

Luckily, nothing bad happened to the family, save for widespread condemnation for putting their 5-month-old at risk.

“Warning! Do not imitate, because this scene can only be performed by those who thirst for validation and adsense [money],” one user sarcastically commented.

In a TV interview this week, Ria acknowledged that she and her husband were at fault, and thanked those who cared about Moana’s well-being.

“So do not imitate,” Ria said.

She also gave an update on Moana in an Instagram story post yesterday, saying her child is in good health and is more active than ever.
