We’ve seen Indonesians defiantly standing up to terrorism in many different ways following yesterday’s horrific terrorist attacks in Jakarta.
And just a day after tragedy struck the capital, people – children and adults alike – are already holding peace rallies at the scene of the bloodbath yesterday. Many are there to honor the innocent people who fell victim to the ISIS-linked terrorists’ treacherous crimes, and to further emphasize that Indonesians are not afraid.
This is a struggle the terrorists can’t win. We Jakartans won’t be deterred by those who want to hurt us.
