Dave, a 10-year-old boy who lived in a 12th floor apartment in Kalideres, West Jakarta, plunged to his death yesterday afternoon.
His parents left him alone in the apartment before he jumped.
“His mother worked, his father and little brother were out shopping, so he was alone in the apartment,” said Dermawan, Kalideres Police Chief, as quoted by Vivanews.
Dermawan said Dave was often left alone in the apartment because he was mentally challenged. The police suspect that Dave got bored and jumped out of a window that was left open.
Dave’s body is currently at the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital for an autopsy.
