“Happy Ending”: 65-year-old man dies while “on a date” with 29-year-old in hotel room

A 65-year-old man, identified by his initials AD, died suddenly yesterday afternoon while in a hotel room in Jatinegara, East Jakarta. But unlike many older people who sadly spend their final moments on Earth by themselves, AD was not alone. In fact, he had been in the middle of having intimate relations with a 29-year-old woman, identified as N.

Head of Public Relations for the East Jakarta Police, Commissioner Husaimah, said the initial results of their examination showed that AD had likely died due to illness.

“The victim probably died due to illness. There were no trace of trauma on his body,” said Husaimah, when contacted by Kompas on Monday.

According to Husaimah, the incident occurred at around 1 in the afternoon. AD was “on a date” with N in the hotel room when he suddenly became unconscious. This made N panic and she reported the incident to the hotel manager.

“They checked his pulse and it was still there. The witness then reported it to the owner of the hotel. But when the witness returned to the victim’s room, he had already died,” said Husaimah.

N admitted to reporters that she had been having sex with the victim when he fell unconscious, but denied that he died from taking drugs.

“I didn’t see him take any ‘obat kuat’ (erectile dysfunction medication). If I did see that, I would not have allowed it,” N said.

N was brought to the Jatinegara Police Station for questioning while AD’s body has been taken for autopsy.
