Indonesian superapp Gojek is consolidating its Southeast Asia presence by unifying all its services in the region under one app.

Prior to the move, Gojek operated under its famous name in Indonesia and Singapore, but with localized names GET and GoViet in Thailand and Vietnam, respectively.

Starting Aug. 17, coinciding with Indonesia’s Independence Day, GET and GoViet have been rebranded to Gojek, meaning all of the company’s services in the four countries are now available under one app.

“The name Gojek flying high in the four countries, in conjunction with Indonesia’s 75th anniversary, further validates Indonesian achievement in the international scene,” Gojek co-CEO Andre Soelistyo said in a written statement.

Users no longer have to download separate apps to use Gojek’s services in Thailand and Vietnam. Before the merger, users in Singapore were able to use Gojek’s main app to access the company’s services.

Gojek claims that its food delivery service is booming in Thailand and Vietnam. In Singapore, only its car rideshare service, GoCar, is currently available.

Back at home, Gojek continues to be one of the country’s largest and most successful startups. However, it recently laid off hundreds of its employees under its now-defunct GoLife platform, as the company reels from the effects of the pandemic.
