Drones are definitely the tech gadget du jour, with amateur aerialist videographers filling up the Youtubes with high-flying footage from all over the world. The trend is now in full flight here in Indonesia, and the number of drone videos taken in Jakarta is on the rise as well.
A while ago we shared a gorgeous 4K video taken by a drone around SCBD. Today we’re sharing two more of our favorites taken around famous Jakarta landmarks.
The one above depicts Jakarta’s very own Epcot-style educational amusement park, Taman Mini Indonesia, with the aid of a DJI Phantom, which seems to be quite a popular vehicle to take GoPro cameras up into the air. Our favorite shot has to be of the mini Indonesia map, rendered in small islands inside a man-made lake, which looks much more majestic from above.
Below we’ve got an absolutely hypnotic low-light flyaround of Jakarta’s most famous roundabout, Bundaran HI. Ever wondered what those folks on top of the Selamat Datang Monument in the middle of the bunderan actually look like up close? Watch and find out.
