Our condolences to one of Indonesia’s finest and a great role model to all. Gayatri Wailissa, the Ambonese girl who mastered 14 languages, passed away in Jakarta last night at the tender age of 19.
According to Merdeka.com, Gayatri passed away at around 7 pm Thursday night at the Abdi Waluyo Hospital in Menteng, Central Jakarta. She was reportedly suffering from brain hemorrhaging and had been receiving treatment at the hospital for four days. No word yet on what caused the brain hemorrhaging in the first place.
Gayatri’s body will be flown to her hometown in Ambon, which will be her final resting place.
