Food and Drug Agency seizes hundreds of sex drugs from illegal vendors in Cakung

One of the drugs confisicated from the store. We censored the naughty bits but you can see the uncensored box on Kompas (seriously)

Jakarta’s Food and Drug Agency (BPOM) performed a coordinated raid on several vendors illegally selling Viagra, vibrators and other sexual aids in Ujung Menteng, Cakung, yesterday.

The district head of Cakung, Ali Murtadho, said that 10 vendors were targeted by the raid. But, somehow, word of the raid got leaked and five of the targeted vendors closed their stores before BPOM could arrive. Ali said the sex drug sellers are highly organized, which is probably why they were able to spread the word about the raid so quickly.

The district head said the joint raid was conducted by 50 officers from BPOM Jakarta as well as the municipal police and health services.

Meanwhile, Acting Head of Investigation BPOM Jakarta, Pattipeilohy, said that those vendors selling “blue pills” did not have the proper permits.

“Because they have no licenses, then all their merchandise will be confiscated and destroyed,” Pattipeilohy said as quoted by Kompas

The BPOM agent added that the drugs they were selling were quite dangerous – they could, for example, be fatal for those with heart disease.
