Fake beauty doctor learned from Google, charged patients Rp 6 million for treatments

Remember yesterday’s story about the fake “beauty doctor” who got caught by police while practicing out of a toilet in the Plaza Semanggi shopping center?

Of course you do, how could you forget a story like that? Well the story gets worse. It turns out that the fake doctor, identified by police as JS, had been tricking patients for almost four years. And not only did she not go to medical school (or even beauty school) she apparently learned all of her procedures from the Internet.

“From her confession, the suspect learned from Google,” South Jakarta Police Sr. Commander Wahyu Hadiningrat told Merdeka on Tuesday.

The most disturbing procedure that police say JS performed was injecting vitamin E directly into her patients’ bodies, which may have been what caused the organ damage that caused several of her victims to report her to the police in the first place.

Wahyu said five victims have come forward and at least one of them was charged Rp 6 million for her services.

“But in the end (the victim) spent about Rp 100 million in total because the victims is now being treated in a Jakarta hospital as a result of (her treatments),” Wahyu said.
