Drunk Mercu Buana University student stabs friend in the head during scuffle

Firshak Aditya, a 23-year-old student at Mercu Buana University in Kembangan, West Jakarta, probably won’t speak to his friend, Iskandar, ever again.

Yesterday afternoon, Iskandar, who is suspected of being drunk at the time, caused a commotion at the university campus when he threw around some outdoor chairs for fun.

Seeing this, Firshak went up to Iskandar to warn him against vandalism. The two then broke into a verbal argument which led to a physical brawl. Suddenly, Iskandar pulled out his folding knife and stabbed Firshak in the head and back.

Firshak fell and Iskandar ran away. Firshak’s friends quickly ran to his aid and took him to Sari Asih Hospital in Ciledug. Fortunately, Firshak’s wounds weren’t too severe and he survived the ordeal.

Firshak and his friends then reported Iskandar to the Kembangan Police.

“We reported this case to the police. I received a stab wound to the head and one in my back because of [the fight],” Firshak said, as quoted by Warta Kota yesterday.

The police are still trying to locate Iskandar’s whereabouts.
