At least three explosions were heard in the town of Bangil, Pasuruan, East Java just before noon today.

According to East Java Police Spokesperson Frans Barung’s statements during an interview with Metro TV, the explosions occurred inside a house. Immediately after, a man, carrying a backpack, ran out of the house and was chased by locals. The police are still pursuing him, as he is believed to have set off the explosions.

A six-year-old boy, believed to be his son, was injured in the blasts and was taken to the hospital. A woman, believed to be his wife, remained in the house and was taken into police custody.

A video showing the boy being carried away from the house and onto a motorcycle has gone viral online.

Police have yet to rule the incident a terrorist attack as the chase for the suspected culprit is still ongoing.

Today’s blasts in Pasuruan come less than two months after multiple suicide bombings in churches and a police headquarter in the East Java capital of Surabaya, killing 27. The suspects in those bombings took their children with them while carrying out the attacks, killing all but one.
