There’s no official casualty count so far, but Detik is reporting that several injured passengers were taken off on stretchers to receive first aid treatment.

PT KRL Commuterline Jabodetabek (KCJ) hasn’t revealed the extent of the damages to the trains.

The trains, numbered 1156 and 1154, were both traveling from Bogor to Jakarta. One of the trains was stationary on the Juanda station when the other arrived at the station and collided with it.

As a result, the Jakarta Kota – Manggarai line is out of service for the unforeseeable future. This may cause disruptions and delays on the whole KRL Commuterline service today.
