Brawl between two teenage gangs breaks out in Tambora, two killed

Two gangs of teenagers engaged in a brawl over the weekend in Tanah Sereal, Tambora, West Jakarta.

Unfortunately, two teenagers fell victim to the violent brawl.

“Two teenagers who died had the initials RO and AC, they were both 17 years old,” said Tambora Police Chief Whirdanto Hadi Wicaksono, as quoted by Tempo yesterday.

Initial autopsy results revealed that the two died from slash wounds from a sharp weapon.

Whirdanto said the brawl started because the two gangs were throwing each other insults. None of the teens involved in the brawl were over 17.

The police arrested eight of the brawlers for questioning. Some of them were found to be drunk on alcohol.
