Junaedi Apriansyah, a 54-year-old Blue Bird taxi driver, was found dead with his arms and legs tied up and a towel shoved into his mouth in his taxi yesterday.
He was found by Samsuri, a farmer who was walking to his farm in Tenjo, Bogor Regency.
The motive for Junaedi’s apparent murder remains a mystery.
“At first we didn’t find any ID on the scene, but then we only found a few of the victim’s belongings like shoes and a small white towel,” said Parungpanjang Police Chief Nur Ichsan, as quoted by Tempo yesterday.
“We’re still investigating, and we can’t conclude whether the victim was a robbery victim or a victim of a vengeful murder.”
Junaedi’s body was taken to the Tangerang Hospital for an autopsy.
