The Honda Mobilio has become such a popular car since it was released in 2014 that we almost see as many Mobilios as Toyota Avanzas and Daihatsu Xenias on the road these days.
But soon, it looks like there will be even more Mobilios on the road as Blue Bird is preparing to add the family vehicle to their taxi fleet.
“Yes, we’re in the middle of testing the Honda Mobilio to become our regular taxi. Until now, we’ve had MPVs like [Toyota] Alphard, but that’s Silver Bird and not Blue Bird,” said Blue Bird Group Spokesman Teguh Wijayanto, as quoted by Detik today.
If this does indeed happen, then the Mobilio will be the first non-sedan regular taxi in Jakarta. The Mobilio can seat six passengers in the car, meaning that ride sharing could soon be even more cost effective.
It wasn’t revealed when and how many of the Honda Mobilio would join the Blue Bird taxi fleet in Jakarta.
