We Jakartans were quick to turn to humor and memes as we’re facing the worst floods we’ve seen this year. But what if those people from that alien city of Bekasi were the ones who came up with memes ridiculing banjir in Jakarta?
After we Jakartans mercilessly mocked Bekasi with memes for its sweltering heat, air pollution, and for being so far away from civilization , maybe it’s time we let Bekasians have their moment of fun. After all, their memes are indeed quite comical:
We’d like to point out that Bekasi is also having flood problems of its own at the moment.
But perhaps it’s unwise to start another meme war with Bekasi right now, given how quickly things escalated when a certain telecommunications company made fun of Bekasi earlier this year.
