Bank robber leaves polite, heartfelt note explaining why he was forced to steal

An unidentified man broke into a Bank Danamon on Bangka Island and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the bank’s vault yesterday. But he also gave a little something back to the bank – a note explaining why he was forced to steal.

As picked up by and translated from Kompas:

“I did not take any items [other than cash]. I’m sorry I had to do this – it wasn’t my intention, I was forced to do it because my parents are sick and I want to make them happy. Once more I apologize.”

Reading that note makes us kind of glad that the police have not been able to locate the robber.

Unless, he’s actually a seasoned robber who deliberately wrote that heartfelt note as a calling card and to toy with people’s emotions. If that’s the case, we hope the police find the son of a bitch.
