A man in Bandung, West Java has been arrested for allegedly taking thousands of upskirt videos of unsuspecting women and selling the content to fellow pervs.

Police said AM, 51, was arrested after one of his recent victims, an 18-year-old woman, noticed herself in one of his videos, which had circulated online.

“We found 307 photos in his computer, and then there were 2,980 videos stored,” Bandung Police Chief Kusworo Wibowo said today.

Kusworo added that AM took his illicit videos at crowded public places throughout Bandung, and that none of his victims were aware that they had been peeped. Authorities have so far identified 30 victims, but the number is likely to be far higher.

AM told the police that he initially wanted to keep the videos for his own self pleasure, but was encouraged by a friend to sell them online.

He then launched an exclusive group chat where he posted the videos and charged customers IDR50K-100K (US$3.20-6.39) for access.

Under Indonesia’s strict anti-pornography law, AM is facing up to 12 years in prison and a fine of IDR6 billion (US$383,618).
