Audience member dislocates arm scrambling for Morrissey’s shirt during last night’s concert

Concerts can get quite vicious, as one audience member found out at the cost of his arm’s well-being at Morrissey’s concert in Jakarta last night.

The former Smiths frontman’s gig at the GBK Sports Complex in Senayan last night brought out legions of Jakarta Brit Pop fanatics as Morrissey performed a set of 19 songs including “Suedehead” and “Every Day is Like Sunday”.

But during “Let Me Kiss You”, concert goers who were lucky enough to be standing right by the stage had the chance to scramble for Morrissey’s sweaty blue shirt that the man himself tossed into the crowd, revealing his glistening dad bod in the process.

The video above was posted by Rian Ekky Pradipta, vocalist of local band D’MASIV. He wrote that some of Morrissey’s die hard fans in the audience violently fought over his shirt, which led to one somehow dislocating his arm and, evidently, some shaky camera work.

The unlucky fan was identified as Haikal Alif, who replied to Rian’s post above assuring him that he’s doing well despite having dislocated his arm. Haikal didn’t say whether or not he got the shirt, but, as proof of how brutal the shirt grab was, Rian posted this to show that he managed to take home a torn sleeve (also very sweaty).

In other Morrissey concert related news, many in the audience were reportedly unsatisfied because Morrissey did not come out to perform an encore, which many expected him to do after he showed the audience a graphic animal cruelty video during his performance of the song “Meat is Murder”. Morrissey, a staunch vegan and animal rights activist, previously demanded that the Jakarta venue be a meat-free zone.
