Those needing a good testosterone fix in Jakarta will be happy to know that Asia’s best mixed martial arts (MMA) tournament, ONE Championship, is returning to Jakarta next month.
This is the fourth ONE Championship (previously known as ONE Fighting Championship or ONE FC) event in the capital, with the first one held in 2012.
Of the eight scheduled fights in this year’s event, the highlight of the tournament is undoubtedly the showpiece fight between ONE featherweight world champion Narantungalag Jadambaa from Mongolia and his challenger, Russia’s Marat “Cobra” Gafurov.
There’s a bit of local pride thrown in for good measure, too. Kickboxing specialists Sunoto and Mario Satya Wirawan will tussle it out in the ring as they compete to become top Indo of the night.
If the previous ONE Championship events in Jakarta are anything to go by, then expect this year’s edition to be jam-packed with brutal fun as well.
