Another Bekasi citizen shot by motorcycle robbers

In the space of just over a day, two Bekasi citizens have fallen victim to gunfire during two separate motorcycle robberies.

The lastest happened this morning, when four robbers tried to steal two motorcycles belonging to Apen in Bojong Rawalumbu, Bekasi. Apen spotted them just as they were escaping with the motorcycles.

One robber fired a warning shot into the air, which drew the attention of neighbors in the area. Apen and his neighbors then gave chase to the robbers.

Unfortunately, a robber fired a shot that hit one of the chasing locals, 35-year-old Biru, in the stomach.

The robbers managed to escape as the locals turned their attention to bringing Biru to Elisabeth Hospital in Rawalumbu, where he is currently being treated.

Police are still hunting down the four robbers.

This is the second shooting committed by motorcycle robbers in Bekasi this week, after 41-year-old Sri Widyanto was also shot with a handmade firearm on Monday evening.
