Police in the West Sumatra city of Padang have arrested two people suspected of murder in a hit-and-run using an ambulance that killed two motorcyclists on Monday.
A CCTV recording of the incident, which has gone viral recently, shows a minivan ambulance plowing through two motorcyclists before crashing into a wall. If that didn’t already appear intentional on the driver’s part, three people can then be seen getting out of the ambulance and two then appear to pick up blocks of wood as they walked towards an area obscured behind the trees in the video, where police said they beat one of the victims to death.

The three men then return to the ambulance. Though the video cuts off before showing what happens next, the police reported that the ambulance drove away and hit several other vehicles in the process. The ambulance was found dumped elsewhere the next day.
The Padang City Police managed to identify and arrest two of the suspects early Tuesday morning near the West Sumatra-Bengkulu border. The authorities did not say whether or not the suspects were actual emergency medicine personnel or if the vehicle was stolen.
“Right now both of them are murder suspects. We are still investigating the case, because there is one more suspect who hasn’t been apprehended,” Padang City Police Crime Investigation Unit Head Edriyan Wiguna told reporters yesterday, as quoted by Tribun.
Though the police have not revealed any possible motives, witnesses say they saw the two victims get into a verbal argument with the ambulance driver. When the victims drove away on their motorcycles, the driver, who was angered by the victims, allegedly chased them down with the ambulance, leading to the shocking events seen in the video.
