Amazing! West Kalimantan man lives in a house with 6 wives, says they all get along

Some people spend their entire lives looking for ‘the one’. But one man, Setyo Joko Sunaryo AKA Narjo from Ngabang, West Kalimantan, has already found 9 of them.

Amazingly, six of his remaining wives (and 16 children!) live in the same house with him.

Even more extraordinary is how Narjo claims that they all live together harmoniously and with tender love for each other.

Narjo, who is an entrepreneur, says he managed to create a loving atmosphere at home because he treats all his wives equally… even in the bedroom.

“I can serve my wives as they wish. For example tonight, whoever wants it, I will comply. If they all want it, then I have to serve them. Even if they want to ‘play’ together I can facilitate that,” Narjo said in front of his six agreeing wives, as quoted by Berita Teratas today.

“I’m able to provide fairly, that’s why all my wives love me.”

Narjo’s household is an unusual one indeed, and it’s probably fair to doubt whether there’s any truth to his claims.

But Narjo’s second wife, Sopia, told the media that she didn’t mind entering into a polygamous marriage with her husband.

“We’re all happy even though he has many wives. And if he wants to marry again we won’t forbid him if it means his happiness. What’s important is he treats all of his wives fairly. I’ve never felt jealous of the other wives,” she said.

And, if you look closely at the family portrait above, the second wife from the left has her hand on the waist of the wife who wears the jilbab. That’s definitely not a gesture of someone holding a grudge.

Despite having six wives, Narjo isn’t always this smooth as he has actually been married 9 times. His first wife divorced him because she didn’t accept polygamy, his third wife died in an accident, and another left him to pursue an education in the Netherlands.

And if you think Narjo’s story is impressive, he says his late grandfather Lie Liet Nam had 14 wives and became a legend in his village. It seems powerful polygamous blood runs in his family.
