Despite Indonesia’s heavy penalties against drug smugglers, the fact remains that smugglers continue to sneak drugs across our borders.
For that reason, the Customs Directorate General are bringing in five top dogs from Australia to sniff out drug smugglers at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
“These dogs have the ability to detect narcotics hidden in bags, as well as in tightly sealed packages,” said Customs Director Heru Pambudi, as quoted by Okezone yesterday.
The breed of the dogs weren’t specified, though we imagine them to be really awesome at their jobs while being really, really cute at the same time.
The five narcotics detection dogs are an addition to the 80 dogs Customs already has spread around airports throughout the country.
