After sneaky price hike, 4G provider Bolt tries to shock itself back into customer’s hearts with new data plans

Just a week ago, Bolt, the sole provider of 4G mobile network in Jakarta, sneakily raised the prices of their data plans. After all the bad press regarding the raise, Bolt has now gotten their act together with new data plans that should appease their irate customers.

14 GB for RP. 100,000? Definitely a better deal than before, although you have to use up those first 8 GB in 14 days (on a good day, Bolt thunders through movie downloads, but keep that on the down low).

The people at Bolt probably realized they can’t piss off their customers by doing whatever they want as they currently monopolize the 4G mobile network in Jakarta. After all, they have countless competitors entering the 4G market in the near future.

While Bolt made a pretty big blunder and committed some major PR no-no’s with their price hike antics, this might just make up for it.
