A shocking discovery was made by employees of the Pabrik Roti Mandiri bakery in the North Petukangan area of Pesanggrahan in South Jakarta early this morning – one of their coworkers hanging lifeless in a storage shed used for chocolate and cheese.
“Yes, it’s true, the victim was found dead after he hanged himself in a chocolate and cheese storage shed,” Pesanggrahan Police Chief Deddy Arnadi said as quoted by Warta Kota.
The deceased was a 20-year-old man named Zaenal Mutaqin. He was found by his co-workers at about 1 am this morning.
After making the gruesome discovery, the bakery employees contacted the police, who took Zaenal’s body to Fatmawati Hospital for autopsy.
Mansur, one of deceased’s coworkers and friends, said the young man had recently broken up with his 16-year-old girlfriend.
“Yesterday, Zaenal broke up [with his girlfriend]. Maybe that’s why he hanged himself,” Mansur said.
