Indonesian actress Nafa Urbach has officially filed a criminal report with the Jakarta Metro Police after online commenters allegedly made an inappropriate comment about her daughter online.

The actress has gone on a very public crusade against child predators over the past week after some netizens used the term “loli” (short for “lolita”, a term used to describe an underage girl who is sexually precocious or desirable by pedophiles) in the comments section of an article about Nafa’s 6-year-old daughter.

Nafa is now demanding that the commenters  be criminally sanctioned for immorality under the Information and Transactions Act (UU ITE), which polices online behavior.

“The report is for an immoral act against minors,” Nafa said at the Jakarta Metro Police headquarters after filing her report today, as quoted by Detik.

Sandy Arifin, Nafa’s legal representative, said they are hoping the police would charge the offenders with defamation and immorality in accordance with UU ITE, which is punishable by up to six years in prison.

In addition to her own case, Nafa has called on other parents to send her evidence that their children are also becoming the targets of inappropriate comments by pedophiles on social media. She has submitted other parents’ complaints, as well as hers, to the police.

Shortly after the “loli” comments, Nafa said she closed her daughter’s Instagram account much to her dismay. She has also, for now, prohibited her daughter from posting videos of herself on Youtube for fear that she may be targeted by child predators.

In addition, she has also hired a bodyguard to keep her daughter safe.
