Access to Jalan Patal Senayan and Jalan Permata Hijau closed for a year due to flyover construction

The Provincial Government is building a flyover on the intersection of Jalan Permata Hijau, Jalan Patal Senayan, and Jalan Tentara Pelajar in South Jakarta.

“With the construction [of the flyover], access to Jalan Permata Hijau and Jalan Patal Senayan is closed as of March 13, 2015,” said Benjamin Bukit, head of the Jakarta Transportation Agency, as quoted by Vivanews today.

The two roads would be closed for the remainder of the scheduled flyover construction period, which is one year.

The area has become notorious for macet over the years. We can expect to see even more macet with the closure of the two roads, but it should all be worth it when the flyover is ready next year.
