​52-year-old cookie selling mom caught slinging sabu on the side

Johariah, a 52-year-old mother of four who sells cookies the Pasar Inpres traditional market in Jelambar, West Jakarta was caught by the police yesterday for peddling sabu (methamphetamines) as well.

Police seized 10 packages of methamphetamine off of Johariah. She told the authoritie that she started selling methamphetamine after she was convinced by a man that it would be a good way to make money.

Johariah said one package weighing one gram of methamphetamines sold for about Rp 1.2 million, but she sold it to her loyal customers for Rp 1.4 million.

“The perpetrator was successfully arrested thanks to complaints from the public,” said Tanjung Duren Police Commissioner R. Heri Purnomo on Monday as quoted by Tribunnews.

Heri explained that Johariah obtained her narcotics from a courier who was commanded by a man with the initial A. Police are now focusing their efforts on finding A.
