Dara Septriani, a 20-year-old Depok citizen, was found dead in her room in a kos in Bojonggede, Bogor, last night.
Dara was suspected of hanging herself after she had just broken up with her boyfriend, 25-year-old Gustaf.
“The victim couldn’t accept that her boyfriend dumped her. So in the end she ended her life by hanging herself,” said Bojonggede Police Chief Ganet Sukoco, as quoted by Vivanews today.
Incidentally, it was Gustaf who first found his ex-girlfriend lifeless in her kos. He went to visit her last night, but grew suspicious when her room was locked from the inside and the lights were out.
“Gustaf broke the door open and found the victim already hanging,” Ganet said.
The victim’s body was taken to the Citra Insani Hospital in Bojonggede for an autopsy.
