Cries and prayers were heard coming from Assyifa Ramadhani Anggraini, 18, at the Central Jakarta High Court on Tuesday, when the prosecution asked the court that that the teenage girl be imprisoned for life for the murder of her former friend.

According to prosecutor Toton Rasyid, Assyifa was proven to have murdered, 18-year-old Ade Sara Angelina Suroto, on March 3, 2014.

“Assyifa Ramadhani’s actions were vile and inhumane,” said Toton.

The prosecution concluded that Assyifa is guilty of committing premeditated murder with her romantic partner, Ahmad Imam Al Hafitd, 19.

According to Warta Kota, Assyifa’s mother, who wore a fully veiled black hijab, sat next to her daughter to comfort her after hearing the charges. Assyifa cried in her mother’s embrace.

“This is your mother, child. You’re a victim. You’re just a victim. Now you know who he [Hafitd] really is. Now you know how he is,” said Assyifa’s mother.

Assyifa’s friends also tried to calm her down and urged her to keep praying.

Meanwhile, prosecutors also asked that Assyifa’s boyfriend, Hafitd, be sentenced with life in prison.

The two murdered Hafitd’s ex-girlfriend, Ade Sara, by repeatedly electrocuting her with a taser, suffocating her and forcing paper into her mouth.

At a previous hearing, Hafitd admitted that he tasered Ade Sara and disposed of her body on the side of the Bintara toll road.

Many thought the couple were psycopaths after it seemed like they showed no remorse for their actions.

They also took to social media to fake their condolences for the victim, right after they murdered her.

Ahmad Imam Al Hafitd: Oh God, innalillahiwainnailaihirojuin, I hope God takes her by His side and forgives all of her mistakes

Assyifa: Oh my God I was shocked to hear the news after coming home from university. Innalillahiwainnailaihirojiun Ade, may you rest well by His side. I hope all those you left behind will find the courage and patience to cope with the loss. Whoever wronged you will be punished

It seems like Assyifa’s prayers did come true, as Ade Sara’s murderers now face life in prison.
