Sing It Back at Potato Head Garage
Trying to replicate the success of their uber-popular Peaches and Cream nights, Sing It Back tries to use karaoke-friendly pop hits instead of recognizable R&B to get the crowd into the party spirit by “singing back” each song. With Diskopantera, DJ Batman (Goodnight Electric) and DJ Bergas on deck and Oom Leo from Ruang Rupa on visuals.

Fantastic Man at the Goods Diner
Fantastic Man is the the alter ego of Melbournian producer Mic Newman. Known for his “honest interpretation of house music,” Fantastic Man is responsible for sold-out records on an array of international labels, such as New York’s Let’s Play House, London’s Wolf Music and his own Fine Choice Records. He’ll be supported by local heroes Andre King and Django. Interestingly, there is no set entry fee, but each guest must donate something. There is no limit as to how much each guest can donate—we will accept any amount. But those who give Rp.100k or more will get one free shot. All donations will go directly to the artists performing.

Moon Dance featuring Hot Since 82 at Skye
Skye’s Moon Dance party’s are always good fun for those who want to dance and preen at the skyscrapper topping club. This month they’ve got Britsh DJ Hot Since 82 working the decks. Born in 1982 (get’it?) Daley Padley has only been making music under the Hot Since 82 moniker since 2012 but his absorbing deep house grooves have helped him quickly attain a meteoric rise in popularity.

Phunktion :101 at Soupanova EcoSky
The legendary drum ‘n’ bass party by Javabass Soundsystem, Phunktion is back for its 101th edition. Legendary is an overused word, but Phunktion and Javabass have been going strong since 2000, making them the longest running monthly drum ‘n’ bass night in the city, so they’ve earned it.
This is also an excellent chance to check out Soupanova Ecosky if you haven’t yet – sister to a bar in Germany, Soupanova has a great rooftop venue and, if you’re in the mood, great German food to boot.
