Despite having a lack of open streets on which to dance, Jakarta has a pretty vibrant and active street dance scene, with some serious breakdancers and Melbourne Shuffle skills on display at local meetups and competitions.
In the video above you can check out two of Indonesia’s sickest street dance crews, GOG and Street Pass, battle it out for supremacy at Battleground Indonesia 2015, the local leg of “the biggest and most prestigious international street dance competition in the Southern Hemisphere.” The competition took place at Baywalk Mall Pluit on July 5.
Who comes out on top, winning the right to represent Indonesia at the next stage of the competition, Battleground Singapore? You’ll just have to watch to find out.
