A few weeks ago we told you about the new film by acclaimed Indonesian director Joko Anwar, “A Copy of Mind,” which earned a showing at the prestigious Venice Film Festival (the only movie from Southeast Asia to do so).
Well today we’re happy to share the new trailer for the film. It was released on the Youtube channel for the highly regarded Toronto International Film Festival, where “A Copy of My Mind” has also won a coveted spot.
Here’s the film’s brief synopsis from the trailer: “A beauty-salon worker and pirate-DVD enthusiast accidentally comes into possession of incriminating evidence of high-level political corruption, in this romantic drama by renowned Indonesian director Joko Anwar.”
Since it’s doubtful we’ll be making it Venice or Toronto, we’ll just have to wait until “A Copy of My Mind” eventually makes it to our shores. We’re also highly anticipating Joko’s upcoming HBO series, “Halfworlds”.
