If you had reservations about watching the infamous ‘Goyang Dribble’ dance by Indonesian dangdut stars Duo Serigala for its possibly NSFW content, then worry no more.
(Watch the original, possibly NSFW video here)
The duo has just released the official video to the song ‘Abang Goda’, to which the original infamous ‘Goyang Dribble’ video was performed. The new video features higher production values and introduces a narrative between the dance performance, while a lot of the original’s bounce and cleavage has been stripped down (though there are still plenty of gratuitous bust shots).
So why the newfound ‘restraint’ for Duo Serigala?
“We’re just a lot more careful now. We don’t want [the video] banned,” said one half of Duo Serigala, Ovi Sovinati, as quoted by Detik today.
The new video is way more SFW, all right, but that means they took away everything that made the original video popular (since the song is garbage, in all honesty). We doubt this new video, which was uploaded on Youtube on March 22 and only has some 4,000 views so far, will ever reach the heights of the original video, which has amassed more than 5.5 million views since December.
