Barbie has opened her dream house in Jakarta, inviting fans to experience what it’s like to be a Barbie girl in the Barbie world ahead of the upcoming summer blockbuster based on the iconic doll.
The Barbie Dream House is a pop-up event that is held at Neo Soho mall, West Jakarta from July 7 to Aug. 6, 2023.
The Barbie Dream House is a replica of the house that Barbie lives in with her friends and family in the upcoming movie. The house features various rooms and facilities, with each room decorated with Barbie’s signature style and colors (though pink is most dominant), as well as interactive elements and accessories.
Visitors can explore the house and take photos with their favorite Barbie dolls and characters. They can also enjoy various activities and games, such as dressing up, playing with makeup, making crafts and more. The event also offers beauty workshops with ESQA Cosmetics and live music with DJ Aiiness.
The event aims to celebrate the upcoming release of the live-action movie Barbie, starring Margot Robbie as the titular character and Ryan Gosling as Ken. The movie is set for release on July 19 in Indonesia.
In addition, Tribeca Park, which is located in the premises of the nearby Central Park Mall, will be partially transformed into a Barbie Skate Park from July 27 to Aug. 13, where fans can rent roller skates or bring their own.
To enter Barbie Dream House, you can buy a Barbie luggage tag at the location for IDR88K. Alternatively, you can get a Barbie luggage tag with purchases of IDR249K at the Barbie retail area, or two luggage tags and a bonus tumbler with purchases of IDR599K.
