He was probably oblivious at the time, but Serbian DJ Petar Radojevic picked the most unfortunate of stage names, at least in Indonesia, where he’ll never be taken seriously.
Radojevic, who in his Twitter account describes himself as, “Your greatest Hardstyle/Hardcore DJ,” goes by the stage name DJ Kontol. Anyone well versed in Indonesian slang knows that kontol means penis.
We’re not making this up.
It seems DJ Kontol has quite a presence on the internet, considering his tracks get thousands of views on Youtube. On the tip of it, that’s quite impressive, but when you thrust into the comment section…
We have to agree with Oredicon Bling-Bling that 90% of his fans are from Indonesia. Actually, we think Oredicon Bling-Bling dropped the ball with that estimate; after all, nearly all of DJ Kontol’s commenters on Youtube are Indonesians amused by his name.
DJ Kontol should grasp the shaft of opportunity and make his way down to Indonesia. He could be huge here.
