Let’s give it up for Dea Goesti Rizkita, who represented Indonesia at this year’s Miss Grand International beauty pageant. Although she did not get crowned the pageant’s overall winner like last year’s Miss Indonesia, Ariska Putri Pertiwi, she did manage to finish in the top 10 in yesterday’s finals of the prestigious competition, considered to be in the upper echelon of the pageant circuit alongside Miss World, Miss Universe and Miss Earth.

While some were disappointed Dea didn’t finish higher (the crown ultimately went to Miss Peru, Maria Jose Lora), it was satisfying to see her earn the prize for Best National Costume after she debuted her absolutely stunning Final-Fantasy-esque outfit inspired by Ibu Pertiwi, the Hindu mother goddess of Earth who is also the national personification of Indonesia, two weeks earlier.

While judges had the final decision on who to award Best National Costume, the top 10 finalists were chosen based on Facebook likes and shares. Dea’s incredible costume, designed in collaboration with Maya Ratih Couture and Morphacio Body Art, got a crazy amount of online support, with her official photo on the Miss Grand International page racking up a stratospheric 242,000 likes and 2.5 million shares (we can’t remember the last we saw anything shared that much on Facebook).

Dea’s online supporters also helped her snag the Miss Popular Award for the contestant with the largest number of votes by users of the Miss Grand International app.
