Kilo Kitchen & Lounge Jakarta is turning one, and there will be numerous events and promos to celebrate the anniversary. At Kilo Kitchen, you can help yourself to a cheap second bowl of Signature Squid Ink rice for IDR1 only (!) from Friday, Jan. 10 to Sunday, Jan. 12 at lunch time (11pm-3pm) with a minimum spending of IDR300,000.

There will also be an exclusive Anniversary 6-course Sharing Set Menu (IDR700,000++/person) presented by Kilo’s co-founder Joshua Adjodha on Friday, from 6pm to 11pm. See the complete set menu here.

After dinner on Friday, head down to Kilo Lounge for its birthday party, where there will be an LED installation as well as special sofa and bottle packages, among others. Resident DJ Ecilo will be joined by UK-based DJ Rossi, Hogi and Downey from Future10, Ridwan and Heru from Sunset People Project, as well as Jacatra from Goodnws.

Sejauh Mata Memandang’s Laut Kita Masa Depan Kita exhibition

Local fashion brand Sejauh Mata Memandang is now almost synonymous with eco-fashion, as shown in their hit exhibition Laut Kita (Our Ocean) last year and latest collection titled Daur, which recycles fabrics from their previous collections.

This time, the brand is back with another exhibition titled Laut Kita Masa Depan Kita (Our Ocean Our Future) to spread awareness for a more environmentally-friendly lifestyle. The exhibition will serve to remind us that if we don’t change the way we live on planet earth, there could soon be more plastic in the ocean than fish.

The exhibition is currently running until Feb 2 at Senayan City 1st floor, unit 1.08, Central Jakarta, from 10am-10pm. Free entry.

Patjarmerah Kaget is a literacy and pop-up book market festival which is returning this weekend to Blok M’s recently opened creative space, M Bloc Space. You Are The Replica of Your Own: digital collage workshop by Mira Kim

Living life in our present realities and on the internet, our sense of separation and connection becomes either clearer or blurred. How do we make sense of ourselves in this era of image reproduction and the virtual world?

Korean artist Mira Kim will hold a digital collage workshop titled You Are The Replica Of Your Own. Participants are invited to do a number of activities, such as image manipulation, body casting, and video making — all you need to bring are your cellphones and imagination.

COTTONINK Mini Playdates with Kotak Warna Art Space

Here’s an activity for you and your little ones aged 3-6, as local fashion label COTTONINK will hold a mini playdate with Kotak Warna Art Space. In this event, your kids will be taught how to make a chandelier from leftover fabrics and colored papers.
