Java Jazz Festival Brings Musical Icons To Jakarta for 2018 Edition (March 2-4)

The annual Jakarta International BNI Java Jazz Festival will return to Jakarta next month for its 14th year.

More than 300 artists and thousands of spectators are expected to land in the capital for the event (March 2-4), which holds the title of largest jazz festival in Asia.

This year’s international headliners include the Goo Goo Dolls, LAUV, Jhené Aiko, and the grammy-nominated Daniel Caesar. Home-grown icons Margie Segers Motown and Dira Sugandi are also returning, and Endah N Rhesa will join them at the top of the bill.

This year’s tagline is ‘Celebrate Jazz in Diversity’, a fitting theme for a time of rising religious tensions and overall political turbulence in the nation.

Dewi Gontha, President Director of PT Java Festival Production has declared the JJF “a festival for all music lovers,” and believes jazz can resonate with music fans from all walks of life.

The festival will take place at the Jakarta International Expo centre (JIExpo) in Kemorayan.

The Java Jazz Festival is on from Friday, March 2 to Sunday, March 4, 2018 and will take place at JIExpo, Kemayoran, Jakarta. Tickets are 800,000 IDR for a one day pass or 1,830,000 IDR for all three days and can be purchased here.
