South Korean chef Sun Kim of Meta, an acclaimed Michelin-starred contemporary Asian restaurant in Singapore, is doing a special dining event at the Raffles Hotel’s Arts Cafe on Friday and Saturday featuring many of his signature dishes from Meta including amaebi tartare with uni on toast, scallop chawanmushi with clam cream, dill and osetra caviar and 40 hours cooked beef short rib with shitake mushroom puree and pickled shitake. Wave of Tomorrow is a new media art exhibition showcasing contemporary art featuring technological elements as well as special musical performances every day. Lynn Ruth Miller, 85, is the oldest performing female stand-up comedian in the world and was dubbed the new Joan Rivers of Fringe Comedy at The Edinburgh International Fringe. Amazingly, she started her comedy career at 71! She made it to Las Vegas in America’s Got Talent, 2008, won the People’s Choice in the 2009 Branson Comedy Festival, got to the finals in Bill Word’s Funniest Female Contest 2009, the finals of Britain’s Got Talent and she won both nights of the Texas Burlesque Festival without taking off anything that matters.
